The Miser and the Fish©
Story 8
Discussion:
Speak with your child about what it means to be greedy. Talk about the
difference between having what you need and wanting things just to have more of
something than someone else. Talk about being generous, like the people who wished
that everyone could fish in the pond. Encourage your child to think of people they know
who have done generous things.
Activities
Ask your child what they would wish for if they had three wishes. Have them interview other people in the family about what they would wish for.
Additional Activities
If possible, take your child to a public pond or fountain that has fish and imagine that one of the fish is enchanted.
Draw a picture of an enchanted fish.
