The Ant and the Bee©

Discussion:

Ask your child to tell you who their friends are.

Ask your child to think of a time when he/she worked together to complete a project.

Activity

Select an activity that you and your child (and other children in the family or neighborhood) can do together, such as setting the table, cleaning their room, weeding the garden, etc.. Ask your child if he/she felt it was easier to do it together. Was it more fun?

Additional Activity

If it is a warm time of year, go outside and see if you can find ants. Perhaps put some sugar out to see if it will attract the ants.

Have your child make-believe he is a bee and fly around and buzz.

Taste some honey

Look at some flowers to see where the bee and the ant were getting the nectar.
